Dr. Asclepias Rachmi Soerjono, or Ami, has over 30 years of experience in the energy sector in Indonesia. Her work includes policy studies and advisories, supported by evidence from fieldwork. She has provided technical assistance to national and sub-national governments, enterprises, and non-government organizations. She has been leading initiatives to improve capacity and governance in energy planning and implementation through training, enhancement of data quality, and multi-stakeholder dialogues.

She is the Director of Energy Policy, Planning, and Governance of the Sustainable Energy for Indonesia’s Advancing Resilience (SINAR) project of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). During the previous decade, she was an Energy Governance and Regulatory Specialist at the Indonesia Clean Energy Development (USAID ICED I and II) projects. In addition, she chairs the Board of Executives of the Indonesian Institute for Energy Economics (IIEE). Ami holds a Ph.D. and Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and a Bachelor in Mathematics from the Bandung Institute of Technology.
