Energy-related sectors accounted for 44% of Indonesia’s GHG emissions in 2020. Indonesia’s increasing energy demand, driven by a growing economy, rising income and massive infrastructure development, has mostly been backed by the burning of fossil fuels.

Indonesia has demonstrated an ambitious commitment to become an advanced economy by 2045 and achieve a net-zero economy by 2060, which necessitates an accelerated and wide-ranging transformation in the power, industry, transportation and building sectors.

To support turning this commitment into results, ViriyaENB teams up with partners to build effective policy-making, robust roadmaps, capacity building and collaborative efforts to unlock investments at the pace and scale consistent with Indonesia's economy and climate objectives.
